Our campaign to give talented people on the autistic spectrum employment opportunities within the industry has generated a lot of interest among DMA members in the region. Working with the Bristol Autism Spectrum Service (BASS), we’re continuing to progress, laying the foundations to make our industry more friendly toward people with autism.
It’ll form part of a further reaching diversity campaign, ensuring employers are aware of the benefits of being more inclusive toward autism. We plan to run a workshop for DMA members who are interested in getting involved, so if you'd like to join our working party do get in touch. You can read our full article here.
Our copywriting club events continue in their popularity, so why not join us on 19 October when Tim Tucker will discuss Neuro Linguistic Programming to write clearer and more result-rich copy.
Tim will look at how you can influence your readers through using simple techniques to give your content a new dimension.
He’ll be discussing some of the following:
- Key elements of persuasion in copywriting
- Using sensory adjectives to engage emotions
- Addressing ‘away’ and ‘towards’ motivations

In addition to providing factual information we'll also be providing practical advice on what you should be doing and why. DMA Talent is proud to introduce the first ever combined Fresh Blood and Big Book Crit event at Indica's Bristol offices on 15 November. Due to their continuing popularity, we've decided to merge the two events to provide students with an exciting evening that will introduce them to the world of marketing. Following inspirational talks from industry experts, attendees can opt for one of three break-out sessions: Data and Analytics, Account Management and Big Book Crit which will provide an opportunity for portfolios of creative work to be critiqued by a Creative Director.
